United Way Celebrates Successful 2025 Campaign Kickoff – Together We Thrive
Ponca City, OK – United Way of North Central Oklahoma officially launched its 2025 Annual Campaign with a full room of energy, connection, and community spirit at the Campaign Kickoff Breakfast on Wednesday, August 27, at Pioneer Technology Center. More than 50 community members, agency partners, and business leaders attended the event, coming together under this year’s theme: “Together We Thrive.”
The morning began with breakfast and networking, giving guests the opportunity to meet directors from United Way’s nine funded partner agencies and connect with fellow business and community leaders.
2025 Campaign Chair Jenny Creech shared her vision for the campaign and officially announced this year’s ambitious goal of $500,000. Guests were also introduced to the 2025 Campaign Video, which highlighted the impact of United Way partnerships and the essential work of the nine funded partner agencies: Survivor Resource Network, Child Development Center, Northern Oklahoma Youth Services (NOYS), New Emergency Resource Agency (NERA), Scouting America – Last Frontier Council, Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma, Peachtree Landing, RSVP, and CASA.
“This campaign is about more than raising dollars,” Creech said. “It’s about bringing our community together to ensure that every person has the support and opportunities they need to thrive. Together, we can set the pace for change and create a stronger Kay County.”
United Way Executive Director Tara Goldman welcomed guests and expressed gratitude to all who attended. “We are so thankful for each person who joined us today,” Goldman said. “Your presence reflects the caring spirit of this community and our shared vision that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. United Way is about partnership, and together, we can make a lasting impact.”
In addition to celebrating the start of the campaign, United Way introduced the Impossible Choices Simulation, an interactive activity that allowed participants to step into the shoes of a struggling family and experience the tough decisions many face daily. The exercise underscored the challenges United Way and its partners work to address through community support and resources.
The kickoff event was made possible thanks to the generous support of Phillips 66, Stolhand Wells Group, and American Roofing, as well as the hospitality of Pioneer Technology Center, which not only hosted the event but also provided a delicious breakfast prepared by the school’s culinary department.
With the campaign officially underway, United Way of North Central Oklahoma is calling on individuals, businesses, and organizations to join in the effort. Dollars raised will be invested locally, strengthening families, empowering youth, improving health, and building financial security for those in need. United Way is also inviting businesses and organizations to host their own internal campaign kickoffs to engage employees and expand the reach of this year’s drive.
