Child Development Move in Day--Day of Caring Volunteer Registration

Registration is Open for an early Day of Caring Project! 

🌟 Help Us Help the Child Development Center – August 12!  

While Day of Caring is coming up on Friday, September 26, 2025, the Child Development Center needs our support now as they prepare to move into their new location on 7th Street.

📦 Volunteer Opportunity – Monday, August 12
⏰ 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Help load and unload boxes so teachers and staff can get classrooms ready for kids as quickly as possible. This early Day of Caring project is a great way to make a direct impact!

🍳 Join us that morning for breakfast, fellowship, and a free United Way t-shirt as we launch another great year of impact together.  

This is a wonderful chance for you and your coworkers to make a difference, build community spirit, and show your support for local nonprofits.

 

Team Sign-Up Instructions:
Please provide your team captain’s name and contact info, along with each team member’s name, email, and t-shirt size when registering.  

Let’s show what it means to LIVE UNITED. 💙

 

  1. Enter the names, emails and t-shirt sizes for each member of your team (up to 25 names). 
  2. We will send Liability and Photo Release Forms to your team members.

If you are younger than 18 years of age, your parent or guardian must accompany you volunteering and sign the release on your behalf.

 

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

This Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and hold Harmless Agreement (the “Agreement”) is executed on the below date by the undersigned, in favor of United Way of North Central Oklahoma, Inc., an Oklahoma not-for-profit corporation (“UWNCO”), its agencies.

The undersigned hereby acknowledges that he/she has volunteered to participate in Day of Caring projects conducted by UWNCO and its agencies and those activities associated with the Day of Caring projects, including without limitation travel to and from Day of Caring project sites, any travel which in any way relates to the Day of Caring projects, and rescue activities incident to the Day of Caring projects.

The undersigned is AWARE AND UNDERSTANDS THAT DURING SUCH PARTICIPATION IN THE DAY OF CARING PROJECTS HE/SHE MAY BE EXPOSED TO RISKS AND DANGERS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH AND IS VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATING IN THE BUILDING ACTIVITIES WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGER INVOLVED AND HEREBY AGREES TO ACCEPT ANY AND ALL RISKS OF INJURY OR DEATH.

As consideration for being permitted by UWNCO and its agencies to participate in the Day of Caring projects, and as a condition precedent of the right to participate in the Day of Caring, and undersigned personally assumes all risks and damages incident to or in any way related to the Day of Caring projects, including any and all risks or dangers caused by the negligence of UWNCO, its agencies, agents, or employees. The undersigned also waives, releases and forever discharges UWNCO, its agencies, agents or employees from any and all liabilities, losses, damages and costs of any nature, projects including those caused by the negligence of UWNCO, its agencies, agents or employees. The undersigned further agrees not to file suit against UWNCO, its agencies, agents or employees. The undersigned also agrees to indemnify and hold UWNCO, its agencies, agents and employees harmless from any and all liabilities, losses, damages, costs of any nature, including those caused by the negligence of UWNCO, its agencies, agents or employees. This Agreement shall be binding upon the undersigned, his/her heirs, successors, and assigns.

The undersigned does further hereby grant permission to UWNCO to use any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, audio recordings, or any other record of the undersigned’s participation in the Day of Caring projects, as well as the undersigned’s name and/or likeness, for any lawful purpose, and waives any claim for compensation for any such use.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY. I FURTHER STATE THAT I AM OF LEGAL AGE AND COMPETENT TO SIGN THIS AGREEMENT.
I hereby authorize and consent that United Way of North Central Oklahoma, a non-profit corporation, its legal representatives, successors or assigns, and local United Way member organizations shall have the absolute right to copyright, publish, use, sell or assign any and all photographic portraits or pictures, television spots, movie films, videotapes and/or sound recordings, or any part thereof, they have taken or made of me on this date or in which I may be included, name or other biographical data, in whole or in part, whether apart from or in connection with, illustrative or written printed matter, story or news item, motion pictures, internet usage, television or radio spots, or for publicity, advertising or any other lawful purpose whatsoever, in conjunction with my own or a fictitious name, or my real or fictitious biographical data, or in reproduction thereof in color or otherwise in any media now known or hereby created.

I hereby waive all claims for any compensation for such use or for damages other than as set forth herein.

I hereby waive any right that I may have to inspect and/or approve the finished product or the advertising copy that may be used in connection therewith or the use to which it may be applied. I acknowledge that there is no obligation to use any material authorized by me hereunder.

I hereby warrant that I am of full age and have every right to contract in my own name in the above regard. I state further that I have read the above authorization and release, prior to execution, and that I am fully familiar with the contents thereof.
